Chris is a Senior News Writer for Collider. He can be found in an IMAX screen, with his eyes watering and his ears bleeding for his own pleasure. He joined the news team in 2022 and accidentally fell upwards into a senior position despite his best efforts.
For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things Bosch, Mission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.
He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.
His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.

The wait for Hogwarts Legacy 2 feels like we've gone into the vanishing cabinet for Borgin and Burke's alongside Montague, and we've been stuck here for months, if not years, with no sign of light at the end of the tunnel. The sequel is already one of the most anticipated games in the Wizarding World, and we're waiting for concrete info on what to expect. If it links into HBO's new series, expands the world down to London, Godric's Hollow, or more remains to be seen, but thankfully, another new Wizarding World RPG is now on the way, and this one is taking fans back to Hogwarts in a very different form.
The new RPG game is set just before Voldemort’s invasion of Hogwarts and asks players to choose whether they want to represent their house and defend the school or join the Dark Forces to help secure Lord Voldemort’s victory. So you can see which of your friends are truly Death Eaters in disguise. According to the official description, Hogwarts has been infiltrated by Death Eaters and Dark Forces, leaving players to prepare for the battle ahead by honing their spell-casting skills, exploring the school grounds, and getting ready for a showdown between good and evil.

The Sorting Hat Speaks Your House Has Been Chosen
After careful deliberation, the Sorting Hat has made its decision. This is the house your values, your instincts, and your particular way of being in the world were made for.
🦁 Gryffindor
You have nerve. Not the reckless kind, but the deep, quiet courage that shows up even when you're terrified — especially then.
- Gryffindors don't act because they're fearless — they act because they understand that some things are worth being afraid for.
- You stand up for people when it would be easier to look away.
- You charge toward what's right even when the odds are terrible.
- Harry, Hermione, Ron — the heroes of Hogwarts's greatest chapter — all called the tower with the scarlet and gold home. And now, so do you.
🐍 Slytherin
You are driven, sharp, and utterly clear-eyed about what you want and how to get there.
- Slytherin has long been misunderstood — painted as the house of villains when it is, at its best, the house of those who refuse to accept limits placed on them by others.
- You are resourceful, strategic, and you play the long game.
- You know your worth. You protect your own fiercely.
- The dungeon common room with its view of the Black Lake is yours — and the ambitions that will take you further than anyone expects are yours too.
🦡 Hufflepuff
You are the kind of person that makes the world genuinely better just by being in it.
- Hufflepuff is not the "safe" house or the "leftover" house — it is the house of those with the greatest heart and the most unwavering integrity.
- You show up. You work hard. You don't need glory or recognition — you do what's right because it's right.
- Your loyalty never wavers, even when tested.
- Nymphadora Tonks, Cedric Diggory, Newt Scamander — some of the wizarding world's finest. And now you join them.
🦅 Ravenclaw
Your mind is your greatest gift, and you've always known it.
- Ravenclaws are the thinkers, the questioners, the ones who find a puzzle irresistible and a good book better company than most people.
- Ravenclaw is not merely about intelligence — it's about the love of learning, the pursuit of truth, and the rare courage to admit you don't know something yet.
- You see the world with unusual clarity and depth.
- Luna Lovegood, Filius Flitwick, Rowena Ravenclaw herself — all extraordinary, all original. And so are you.

What Is the New Harry Potter RPG All About?
Harry Potter: Defenders of Hogwarts has been officially revealed as a new tabletop RPG coming soon to Kickstarter. The game is being developed by MinaLima, the graphic design studio behind some of the most iconic Wizarding World props from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films, including the Hogwarts acceptance letter, the Marauder’s Map, and The Daily Prophet.
Defenders of Hogwarts will support 2–5 players, is intended for ages 13 and up, and each match is expected to run up to 90 minutes. The game design comes from multi-award-winning industrial designer David Waterman, while the involvement of MinaLima should give it some serious authenticity for fans who care about the look and feel of the Wizarding World. There is no launch date yet for Harry Potter: Defenders of Hogwarts, but the project is currently listed as “coming soon” on Kickstarter, where interested players can sign up for updates.
As for the other game we're all waiting for, Hogwarts Legacy originally featured the player as a student who gets an admissions letter to Hogwarts to enter in their fifth year, which is highly irregular. But soon, the student gets wrapped up in a conspiracy involving dark wizards and goblins, and has to save the Wizarding World from catastrophe. In its first two weeks, it sold over 12 million copies and generated $850 million in global sales revenue. It became one of the best-selling video games, selling 40 million copies and reaching $1 billion in total revenue.
Stay tuned to Collider for more on the ever-expanding Wizarding World.
