The Nets’ out-of-the-box solution to their playmaking inexperience

The Nets know when Nic Claxton is right, he can be their anchor on defense.

But lately, he’s showing he can lead them on offense as well.

Suddenly finding himself as a veteran on a rebuilding team, Claxton is shouldering the burden to not only raise his defensive game but also be better on the other end of the court as well. To put it simply, be better.

“That was a big thing for me coming into the year. It was just consistency, and I’m just hanging my [hat] on just trying to be [reliable],” Claxton said. “Just impacting the game in a lot of different ways every single night on both sides of the ball.”
