‘The Masked Singer’ Says Goodbye to ‘Real Housewives’ Star in Tear-Jerking Reveal

Eggplant has officially been chopped from The Masked Singer.

The mystery celebrity behind the colorful aubergine costume was eliminated during the Fox reality series' March 4 episode after eight weeks of fierce singing competition. As for the big reveal, it was actor Jack Wagner who debuted his surprising vocal chops during season 14.

Prior to his send-off, the Melrose Place alum teased his true identity to the judges and viewers amid a night dedicated to the late rocker Ozzy Osbourne.

"Ozzy, what an inspiration," Eggplant said in a video before revealing an unexpected connection to Ozzy's widow Sharon Osbourne. "Talented and fearless and, boy, did he know how to rock...and so did I. Back in the day, I lived large, from billboard to Broadway. I even shared the spotlight with Sharon."

While the clue intrigued guest judge Kelly Osbourne, Eggplant's hints didn't end there.

"I'll admit, fame went to my head and I got a little too wild," the When Calls the Heart star recounted of his Hollywood heydays. "I started dating a famous rocker's girlfriend. Big mistake. He sent his buddies to, uh, talk to me. That's right, I was about to become eggplant parmesan. Nowadays, I've mellowed out. Sorry gals, this veggie's off the market. But that rock 'n' roll spirit, still got it."

But after performing Linkin Park's "One Step Closer," Eggplant landed in the bottom two of the night.

The actor then went head-to-head against High Voltage in a Battle Royale duet of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" to determine which star would be eliminated. Ultimately, Eggplant was cooked.

When it came to the judges' guesses Jenny McCarthy chose REO Speedwagon frontman Kevin Cronin, Ken Jeong picked Rick Springfield, Rita Ora suggested Nathan Lane and Robin Thicke guessed Kenny Loggins. As for Kelly, she was completely stumped but ultimately settled on Alice Cooper.

When it came time for Jack to unmask, everyone was shocked by the surprise reveal, especially Ken who had picked up the General Hospital clue—another show Jack starred on.

“It was the wrong doctor from General Hospital,” he exclaimed. “And by the way, I am a huge fan. You are amazing.”

As for how Jack felt performing as a giant eggplant?

“Well, I love new characters,” the 66-year-old said. “So this was certainly a challenge and to bring life to The Eggplant was just such a thrill.”

Plus, the soap opera star revealed his connection to guest judge Kelly’s mom, as Sharon had done a scene with him on The Bold and the Beautiful.

“We did a bed scene,” Jack recalled, joking, “I was a very good boy, but we did share a little hug together.”
