The Giants lineage and Ice Bowl pedigree Ben Mann brings as he tries to write his own Big Blue story

It is probably a bit of hyperbole to suggest Ben Mann was born to be a Giant. 

But there is Giants lineage coursing through his veins and NFL pedigree in his genes and there is a close family link that takes this otherwise nondescript 24-year-old — he’s a long snapper, for goodness’ sake — and vaults him into a space where few have entered. 

After all, how many rookies get to brag about their grandfather as not only a former Giants draft pick but also an integral contributor in one of the most memorable games the NFL has ever produced? 

“Growing up he always had a Super Bowl ring on his finger and that was just always a huge influence on my life and my dreams and aspirations,’’ Mann told The Post.
