Brian Callahan, the new Giants quarterbacks coach, supplied a one-word response to the statement that Jaxson Dart “ran a lot” last season.
Callahan nodded in agreement then said, “Well.”
Yes, Dart ran well as a rookie, averaging 5.7 yards on 86 attempts — some scripted, most not. He rushed for nine touchdowns, tied with Trevor Lawrence and behind only Josh Allen’s 14 for the most runs into the end zone by a quarterback in 2025.
Coaches are not in the habit of stripping away from a player something he does well.
