The First Descendant’s recent update added Ancestor modules in the game. They are a new type of Transendant mods that allow you to stack multiple effects into one. Using one can help you prevent sacrificing a stat and make your Descendant the best they’ve ever been. Each character has its own unique Ancestor module.

Getting the mod for your character is one thing, but you’ll also need to have good stats on them. Luckily, the game allows you to readjust the stats, and this guide will list god rolls for Ancestor modules in The First Descendant.

The Ancestor module always drops with random stats, and most of the time, the stats will be generic. You’ll need to try to get the ones that benefit your Descendant. To readjust a mod, you’ll need to visit the new module upgrade section near Silion within Albion.

Apart from the positive, Ancestor modules can also contain negative stats, marked by a red arrow. Having one means, along with the benefits, you also get a permanent debuff. That’s why, if you’re looking to maximize your damage, you’ll need to have a negative that doesn’t conflict with your character.

Note: You can only have one negative and up to three positive mods.

But how do you determine which stat won’t affect you? An easy way to do that is to check the element and damage type of your character in the game. Then check which stat isn’t necessary or as important on the character.

For example, you’ll need to build Harris around Toxic, Tech, and Fusion damage. Having these three, along with Max Shield or MP on the negative side, will not affect your build. That’s because Harris doesn’t need MP to use skills, and she can generate overshields.
