The Cubs' continue to prove themselves to be the real deal after notching their 10th win in a row, again

The Chicago Cubs are the hottest team in Major League Baseball. In fact, they have the best record in all of Major League Baseball. They just notched their 10th win in a row, defeating the Texas Rangers, 7-1, on Friday night. This is the second time in 23 games that they have amassed a 10-game winning streak.

This team is firing on all cylinders, and at the perfect time, too. They have already been regarded as the team to beat in the National League Central. This most recent victory was handled with precision, thanks to their starting pitching and breakout performances at the plate.

Ben Brown, the known reliever turned starter due to the injury to veteran pitcher Matthew Boyd, really set the Cubs up for an easy win over the Rangers. He tossed four innings of no-hit baseball, walking one and striking out three. His ERA on the season improves to 1.82.

At the plate, it was third baseman Michael Busch who led the way with an opposite-field three-run double in the top of the seventh inning. Right fielder Seiya Suzuki launched a two-run home run in the top of the third inning that Statcast marked at 419 feet.

The Cubs continue to roll along before the hot summer months hit the windy city, and their eyes are already set on the postseason. Just one stint of a ten-game win streak is very impressive, but to do it twice in a span of 23 games is absolutely remarkable.

Just how long can this current win streak last, as they have two more games against the Rangers before meeting up with the second-best team in the MLB, the Atlanta Braves?
