The chilling six words Cesar Chavez muttered before he allegedly raped 13-year-old girl

Late labor and civil rights icon Cesar Chavez allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl — and then chillingly told her, “Don’t tell anyone. They’d get jealous,” according to a bombshell report.

Chavez, the co-founder of the United Farm Workers labor union, who passed away in 1993, has been accused of sexually abusing multiple young girls and women, according to a shocking investigation from the New York Times.

Ana Murguia was one of the young girls who shared her story with The Times.

Murguia, who was only 13, recalled that Chavez, 45, called her house and asked to see her. She obliged, looking up to Chavez as “a hero.”

She recalled entering a run-down building past his secretary and stepping into his office.

Chavez then locked the door and told the minor how lonely he had been, she told The Times.

He put her onto a yoga mat he used for meditation, kissed her, and pulled her pants down.

After the sickening abuse, he told her, “Don’t tell anyone. They’d get jealous,” Murguia detailed.

Murguia, now 66, alleged she was summoned and raped by the Latino civil rights icon dozens of times during the next four years.

Her encounters traumatized her and spurred her to attempt suicide multiple times as a child, she said.

“I wanted to die,” she told The Times, adding that she experienced panic attacks and depression.

Chavez would put the teenager on his desk to demonstrate “pressure points” to relieve stress, as he was obsessed with healing therapies, Murguia recounted. Those sessions allegedly led to fondling and sex later.

“When I was on the yoga mat is when he would try to have sex,” Murguia said.

Chavez had known the girl since she was 8, as she was the daughter of organizers who marched alongside the labor leader in rallies. Her father was a union official and Chavez’s close aide.

When Murguia returned to see Chavez at the age of 19, after suffering heroin addiction, she said Chavez betrayed her and framed her as someone bringing drugs into the community.

She didn’t speak to him since.

“He doesn’t need me anymore,” she said. “I’m grown up. He told me to get out.”

Murguia was not the only alleged victim. Allegations also shockingly included those from Dolores Huerta, a fellow renowned activist and a close ally of his.

The allegations have prompted prominent Democrats in California to reassess their views of Chavez.

Many of them are walking back their stances after invoking his name in recent years to oppose President Trump’s immigration policies.

“The serious allegations involving Cesar Chavez are devastating,” state Senate President Monique Limon and Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas said in a statement.
