Back in 2019, the Kansas City Chiefs had an exciting wide receiving corps, nicknamed the “Legion of Zoom,” that featured speedsters Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Demarcus Robinson, Mecole Hardman and Byron Pringle.
Ever since that group disbanded after the 2020 season, the team has been bringing in similar skillsets through the draft, trades and free agency. 2025 should mark the first time that the new group starts the season healthy and on the field together.
Xavier Worthy (4.21 40-yard dash) was probably the most obvious “Legion of Zoom 2.0” addition, showcasing his speed during his rookie campaign in 2024 en route to 686 receiving yards and six touchdowns through the air.
Heading into his second year, Worthy has been making waves at training camp, hoping to grow into a consistent playmaker like Hill was a few years ago.

— Kansas City Chiefs (@Chiefs) July 22, 2025Marquise “Hollywood" Brown (4.27) was brought back to Kansas City after missing a majority of the 2024 NFL season due to a sternoclavicular joint injury he suffered during the preseason.
The seventh-year receiver also features blazing speed, but has struggled to put it all together since his 1,000-yard season with the Baltimore Ravens back in 2021. After returning late during the 2024 season, Brown now has a new shot to play a big role in the Chiefs’ offense.
Rashee Rice (4.51) will potentially miss the beginning of the 2025 season due to two third-degree felony charges, but when he returns, he should be one of Patrick Mahomes’ main targets. The third-year wideout had 938 yards in his rookie season of 2023, but missed 13 games last year with a torn LCL.
Skyy Moore (4.41) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (4.54) project to see the field a lot this year, but Kansas City made a few more interesting additions that could be wildcards heading into the beginning of the regular season.
Former New England Patriot Tyquan Thornton (4.28) signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs this offseason, and although he has struggled to stay on the field through the first three years of his career, the young receiver has been turning heads to start training camp.

— Harold R. Kuntz (@HaroldRKuntz3) July 24, 2025Fourth-round rookie Jalen Royals (4.42) will also be looking to make a name for himself this season, coming fresh off back-to-back 800-plus yard seasons in college.
This group might not have the most versatile skill sets, as well as being fairly inexperienced, but their sheer amount of speed is sure to give opposing defensive coordinators and defensive backs nightmares on a weekly basis.
