‘The Buccaneers’ Exclusive Clip: Is It “Unforgivable” That Theo Still Misses Lizzie?!

11 hours ago 1

Perhaps the juiciest storyline to emerge from The Buccaneers Season 2 is the wild romance that’s developed between Theo, Duke of Tintagel (Guy Remmers), and Lizzie Elmsworth (Aubri Ibrag). Theo spent the whole first season of the Apple TV+ show madly in love with his (now wife) Nan St. George (Kristine Frøseth), only noticing his true feelings for Lizzie after she became engaged to Hector Robinson (Jacob Ifan) in Season 2! Now, in an exclusive clip from The Buccaneers Season 2 Episode 6 “Every Single Piece of My Heart,” fans can get a tease of where Theo and Lizzie stand now, after his emotional plea to her right before her wedding.

Apple TV+’s The Buccaneers is loosely based on Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel of the same name. The show follows a quartet of wealthy Gilded Age heiresses who go to England to land themselves Lords and Dukes for husbands.

The Buccaneers Season 2 opens immediately after Nan’s wedding to Theo. While she initially thought she could make the marriage work — especially in order to protect her sister Jinny (Imogen Waterhouse) from her abusive husband Lord Seadown (Barney Fishwick) — Nan ultimately runs away to reunite with her true love, Guy Thwarte (Matthew Broome). In her absence, Theo pursues Lizzie. The two begin a clandestine romance that culminates with Theo begging Lizzie to only marry Hector Robinson if she truly, madly loves him.

So did Lizzie marry Hector or leave the politician jilted at the altar? This new exclusive clip from The Buccaneers teases something went down at the church, but not what. More importantly, though, Theo and Lizzie reunite for a brief moment in secret. He calls their situation “unbearable” and asks if it’s “unforgivable” if he still misses her? They touch hands and share longing glances. (Theo is so right! This is unbearable!)

To find out what happens to Theo, Lizzie, Nan, and all their friends, tune into The Buccaneers Season 2 Episode 6 “Every Single Piece of My Heart” on Apple TV+ tomorrow, July 23.
