The biggest ‘hidden secret’ exposed in the Epstein doc dump

Cross your fingers that the latest vast dump of Jeffrey Epstein documents marks the beginning of the end of the overhyped hysteria.

Yes, the millions of pages contained some fine gossip, and a bit of genuine scandal: A once-top official in Britain’s Labour party is now facing jail for taking bribes from Epstein; all the details on how the elites work offer some fascinating insights — and the likes of Casey Wasserman likely deserve a few hits to their reputations.

But no sign of the giant pedophile/honeytrap blackmail operation that many once anticipated.

Nothing will ever satisfy the fever-brained conspiracy obsessives; they’ll be “murder boarding” out the “truth” with their pushpins and yarn for decades — but ever more of us see that there’s no more there there.

The Andrew-formerly-known-as-Prince was exposed long ago; a few others stand revealed as enablers or worse.

But Larry Summers, Noam Chomsky and Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s mother Mira Nair — who was once at a party that Epstein attended — are guilty at most of unwise associations or poor taste in casual friendships.

At this point, anyone pretending to root out the secret meaning of the Epstein files is a fool or a knave.

In one category: Prizewinning novelist Joyce Carol Oates posts an Epstein email about groceries and concludes that buying “muffins” and “steaks” must refer to small children being abused.

In the other: Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-Mich.) posts a complaint from a three-time psychiatric patient who says that in 1995 she witnessed a rape-and-murder torture ring run by Ghislaine Maxwell and attended by Epstein, Donald Trump and then-President Bill Clinton at Trump’s Rancho Palos Verdes golf course — though Trump didn’t even acquire the course until 2002, among other easily-checked facts.

But Thanedar figures it serves his partisan purposes to present this allegation — which the FBI long ago classified as “not credible” — as dispositive evidence that Trump is a child rapist.

Again, the diehards will never give up: If the evidence they’re looking for still hasn’t shown up, then it’s been suppressed . . . or destroyed; cue fresh demands for the release of ALL the files — and damning of anyone who questions it as “part of the coverup.”

Epstein was a pervert who engaged with minors for sex; the insistence that he was selling children to the global elite is just a theory that sounds great to people who enjoy imagining that’s how the world works — or to those who hope to somehow exploit the true believers.

Documents only mean anything within a contextual framework; that’s why the courts don’t give juries in criminal trials all the evidence up front and tell them to figure it out.

Releasing the unmediated Epstein Files simply proves to reasonable folks that no “truth” is out there; let us just pity those who can’t see it.
