Retired NFL star Shannon Sharpe was unhappy with the late personal interference call made by the officials during the Week 11 showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Detroit Lions. After the game, the ex-Broncos tight end shared a tweet on X criticizing the officials for this decision.
"That's not P.I. That's a play on. That's a bulljive call," Sharpe said.•

Shannon Sharpe was referring to what happened during the fourth quarter of the game. With just over a minute left in the game, the Eagles had the ball for a third-and-eight play. Quarterback Jalen Hurts lobbed the ball down the field, trying to find WR A.J. Brown, who was marked by Lions cornerback Rock-Ya Sin.

Brown ended up failing to catch the pass. However, the officials put up a late flag calling for a pass interference on Rock-Ya Sin. In the replay that was shown, both players got slightly physical with each other as the Hurts' pass came down. However, the clip felt like both Ya Sin and A.J. Brown were equally matched with each other.
NBC color analyst Chris Collinsworth was visibly unhappy with the personal interference call on the Lions cornerback. He said that it looked like it should have been a penalty on A.J. Brown.
"Oh c'mon, C'mon! That is terrible. That is an absolutely terrible call that is going to decide this football game. If anything it's an offensive push," Collinsworth said. The Eagles took a 16-6 lead in the fourth quarter after placekicker Jake Elliott scored a 49-yard field goal. Lions' Jake Bates responded with a 54-yard field goal of his own, minimizing the deficit to 16-9. Unfortunately, it was not enough for his team to make a comeback.
Lions coach Dan Campbell provides update on Sam LaPorta's injury
Before Sunday's game, Campbell and his team placed tight end Sam LaPorta on the injured reserve because of a back injury. Thus, he is expected to miss around three more games for his team.
In the post-game press conference after Week 11's loss to the Eagles, Dan Campbell shared an update on the TE's situation, but did not provide the specifics of his injury.
"Obviously, it's enough where we're talking about four weeks here," Campbell said as per Pride of Detroit. "So obviously, we're going to hope that this thing calms down. And after those four games, we can get him back, but we're really just taking this day-to-day, week-to-week."I'm hopeful (LaPorta returns this season). But I really don't know."This season, Sam LaPorta played in nine games and tallied 489 yards and three touchdowns receiving.
The Lions (6-4) are next scheduled to take on the New York Giants (2-9) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
