NHL fans on social media reacted as Vancouver Canucks forward Evander Kane dropped the gloves with Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Nick Seeler in a bizarre bout during Tuesday’s game.

The altercation unfolded in the first period. Seeler landed a series of punches that connected perfectly on Kane. However, Kane was not able to land a single punch and was easily taken down by Seeler. Evander Kane and Nick Seeler were both issued a five-minute major for fighting.

Evander Kane's Vancouver Canucks fall to the Philadelphia Flyers

On Tuesday, the Vancouver Canucks suffered a 6-3 defeat to the Philadelphia Flyers at Rogers Arena.

David Kampf opened the scoring for the Canucks after putting them ahead 1-0 at 3:45 of the first period. Noah Cates tied it 1-1 for the Flyers at 12:02. Carl Grundstrom increased the Flyers' lead to 2-1 at 3:40 of the second period.

Travis Konecny made it 3-1 for the Flyers before heading into the third period. Drew O'Connor cut the deficit to 3-2 for the Canucks just 1:08 into the third frame. Just 20 seconds later, Bobby Brink increased the lead to 4-2.

At 17:19, Owen Tippett made it 5-2 after scoring on an empty net for Philadelphia. Tom Willander cut the deficit to 5-3 for the Canucks before Christian Dvorak scored the winner for the visitors at 19:19.
