For those unaware, Gilmore Girls (2000-2007) is an American teen drama focusing on the relationship between a single mother, Lorelai (Lauren Graham), and her daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel). Lorelai got pregnant with Rory when she was 16, and how she brought her up and their daily lives and relationships form the crux of the series.
Multiple former co-stars from the series came to the event to celebrate Graham's big day, including Kelly Bishop and Matt Czuchry. The series creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, hosted the event.
Lauren Graham thanks Gilmore Girls fans after receiving her Hollywood Walk of Fame star

After receiving her Hollywood Walk of Fame star, Lauren Graham delivered a heartfelt speech thanking her creator and costars from Gilmore Girls. She also gave a shoutout to the fans of the show for their loyalty for years. Graham said:
"I just want to say a special thank you to the fans of the show who have been so dedicated and so loving and so enthusiastic and so kind. I'm so moved when you come up to me in usually at the airport bathroom and and tell me how much the show has meant to you and that you've shared it with a family member and maybe passed it on to another generation."She continued by thanking the creators of Gilmore Girls:
"And that is another thing I could never have predicted, but to have been a part of something so special in the case of Amy and Dan, and particularly Amy, sometimes I feel we've, we share a brain and and, and kind of have a sort of relationship where I hear what she intends when she writes and, and that is An incredible gift from the first script, and hopefully won't be the last that I get to say those words, is just everything I ever wanted as an actor."Lauren Graham also made a cheeky reference to the show, as she pointed out that only one of the actors who played Rory's three prominent love interests in the series turned up at her ceremony. She gave a shoutout to Matt Czuchry, who played Logan Huntzberger in the series.
"But I do have to say, Czuchry is here, Ventimiglia, no. Points for Logan, just points, just points. It's an ongoing system. It keeps it isn't done yet," Graham quipped.Graham was joking about the fans of Gilmore Girls having their own divisions about which boyfriend they prefer with Rory. While some prefer Logan, others prefer Jess Mariano, played by Milo Ventimiglia. Meanwhile, Graham's character Lorelai also had multiple love interests in the series, although she ended up with Scott Patterson's Luke.
Notably, Alexis Bledel, who played Lorelai's daughter, Rory, was not present at the ceremony. However, Bledel and Graham reunited last month at the Emmy Awards as they came together to present an award and joked about their show together.
Over the years, the series has built a legacy of its own and continues to remain one of the most cherished drama series of all time.
