The New York Jets have lost again after over two weeks, dropping a 27-14 decision at the resurgent New England Patriots on Thursday. And Colin Cowherd senses deja vu.
After the game ended, the veteran sportscaster portended doom for Aaron Glenn's squad, even harking back to Aaron Rodgers' account of his brief meeting with the head coach that marked the end of the multiple-time MVP's tenure with the franchise:
"That Aaron Rodgers story about his weird, brief encounter w Aaron Glenn, feels like a clue now, the Jets new coach probably wouldn’t be a home run."•

Justin Fields continued his tribulations in the air, covering only 115 yards on 15 of 26 passes completed and scoring a touchdown to John Metchie III (three catches for 45 yards), whom the Jets had acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade last month. He also rushed 11 times for 67 yards and a touchdown, while Breece Hall added another 58 on 14 carries.
Meanwhile, the Patriots were buoyed by rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson, who accounted for 93 scrimmage yards (62 rushing and 31 receiving) and scored all their touchdowns (two rushing and one receiving). Stefon Diggs was the game's leading receiver, accounting for 105 yards on nine receptions.
