Teyana Taylor Has Best Reaction to Amy Madigan's Oscars 2026 Best Supporting Actress Win

Teyana Taylor has been serving one look after another throughout award season.

And at the 2026 Oscars March 15, the One Battle After Another actress wore an extra special red carpet look which contained a sweet nod to her daughters Iman “Junie” Shumpert, 10, and Rue Rose Shumpert, 5, whom she shares with ex Iman Shumpert.

Within the stitching of the black Chanel gown—which bore sheer detailing, black and white feathers and embellished designs—were Junie and Rue's names embroidered in cursive alongside a heart.

And though Rue and Junie spent the evening at home, Teyana’s youngest previously had all eyes on her when she joined her mom on the red carpet at the Actor Awards. At the March 1 event, the All’s Fair actress jokingly called Rue her “very expensive stylist” in an interview with E! News.

As for the tot, the time spent with her mom—who was nominated at the Academy Awards—was not lost on her.

I wanted to say," Rue told E! News, "this is such an honor for me being here, and I wanted to thank you guys for my mom and this wonderful day, and all of y'all outfits look very good."

And Teyana’s sweet outfit nod to her favorite girls comes full circle after she playfully called them out during her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes in January.

Oh, my babies, my babies are upstairs watching,” Teyana said through tears while accepting her Globe. “Y’all better be off them damn phones and watching me right now.”

Indeed, they were, with Teyana sweetly recounting how they greeted her as soon as she got off the stage.

“It was so cute because they were actually in the lobby,” Teyana exclusively told E! News a week later. “When you come from getting your award, there’s this little lobby area and they were waiting right there for me because they were in a suite. So, when they came down to the little lobby area it was just so cute and I just melted into their arms.”

Naturally, her girls also wanted to prove their mom wrong.

“It was so crazy,” she continued. “As soon as I see my daughter afterward she was like, ‘See, Mommy, we wasn’t on our phones!’”
