The Houston Texans made their 2025 NFL Draft about making the offense around C.J. Stroud better. Most notably, they drafted both Iowa State receivers, taking Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel. However, it's another receiver the Texans have brought in that could be a breakout star, according to Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic.
The Texans signed Minnesota wide receiver Daniel Jackson as an undrafted free agent, and the former Golden Gopher could be a name everyone learns sooner rather than later.
"Jackson plays much bigger than his 5-10, 193-pound frame," Baumgardner writes. "He combines solid burst and great agility to be a crafty route runner, with the ability to make acrobatic catches and big plays downfield. He made 208 catches at Minnesota, No. 3 on the school’s all-time list."
With OTAs, mini-camp, and training camp to come, Jackson will have every chance to separate himself from his peers, and crack a spot on the 53-man roster through his play in camp and the preseason. In his final season at Minnesota, he caught 75 passes for 863 yards and four touchdowns.
