Jawhar Jordan didn't even have an NFL carry before Week 15.
But when the Houston Texans needed him, he delivered, taking his 15 totes for 101 yards in hsi NFL debut.
And on Tuesday, the Texans rewarded Jordan in a cool way. They signed him to the active roster from the practice squad.
It's a smart move by Houston, which protects Jordan from being claimed by another team. And it's also nice recognition of how he played.

Jordan is a 26-year old RB who began his college career at Syracuse before transferring to Louisville.
He was a sixth-round pick by the Texans in the 2024 NFL Draft, No. 205 overall.
The 5-foot-10, 186-pound running back had been on and off the Texans practice squad the last two seasons, but Sunday was the first time he was a part of the active gameday roster.
When Woody Marks had to leave the game on a couple different occasions with injury, and with Nick Chubb already out, Jordan took advantage.

He added two catches for 17 yards in addition to his 6.7 yards per carry, which included a 50-yard run.
Jordan's future isn't certain. The RB position in the NFL moves quickly.
But this is a big step for him, and an interesting move by the Texans as they chase a playoff spot down the stretch.
