The Houston Texans entered Sunday on a two-game winning streak, favored by 10 points to win another.

The day ended with a devastating loss to the Giants and some bad news.

Houston fell 27-21 in overtime at home and now could be without one of its best receiver going forward.

Texans WR Jaylin Noel injured during Giants game

Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans announced after the game that Jaylin Noel has a turf toe injury.

Noel was spotted wearing a walking boot after exiting the game early.

The Texans alpha is clearly Nico Collins. They just traded for former No. 4 overall pick Marvin Harrison. Tank Dell just made his return from injury. But don't underestimate Noel's contribution to this offense.

He's developed a great connection with CJ Stroud as a slot receiver and can play on the outside.

Turf toe is a tricky injury. It sounds like a silly ailment but is very serious.

A Grade 1 can be 1-2 weeks. Grade 2 can be up to 8 weeks. And a Grade 3? That could force him out for the year.

Houston is now 2-5 and struggling to find answers on both sides of the ball. This injury could put them in an even worse position.
