Terry McLaurin’s next team odds following shocking trade request from Commanders

Terry McLaurin wants out of Washington, but don’t expect a quick exodus.

McLaurin, nicknamed “Scary Terry,” is not pleased with his contract and wants a new one or a trade from the franchise, which has its eyes firmly set on winning the Super Bowl this year.

Oddsmakers at DraftKings see it as unlikely that McLaurin winds up being shipped out of Washington, as they’ve tagged the Commanders with -250 odds to be the team that the wideout suits up for in Week 1 (or whenever he plays his first game).

Those odds carry a 71.43 percent implied probability.

There are two clear favorites should he be moved, though, according to the sportsbook.

The Patriots’ odds to acquire McLaurin are +450 (18.18 percent implied), which gives them the second-best chance of any team in the NFL to acquire him.

The Raiders are third, with +500 odds to bring in Scary Terry.

Every other team looks to be a long shot to pony up enough assets or money for McLaurin, according to the bookies.

No other team is lower than 10/1 to get McLaurin.

McLaurin has been highly productive for the Commanders and looked primed for a breakout season in 2025 alongside newly acquired Deebo Samuel and a second year with Jayden Daniels.

He scored an impressive 13 touchdowns in 2024 to go along with 1,096 yards as he and Daniels formed a dynamic duo.

Washington went to the NFC Championship game last season and is poised to be even better in 2025 after bringing in Samuel and pass rusher Von Miller — although losing McLaurin would limit that ceiling.
