Terrion Arnold left Detroit Lions practice early on Tuesday due to an apparent injury.
According to Woodward Sports Network, the second-year cornerback limped off the field after forcing an incompletion on tight end Sam LaPorta. Dannie Rogers of Lions.com later revealed that Arnold is being evaluated for a hamstring injury.
"Terrion Arnold left practice early and is being evaluated for a hamstring injury," Rogers wrote on X.
The severity of Arnold's hamstring injury is currently unknown, and Detroit is hoping for the best.
After starting 15 games in his rookie campaign in 2024, Arnold is expected to take a big leap in 2025 and establish himself as the team's No.1 corner. The Alabama product allowed a 61.2% completion rate on 98 targets last year and also tallied ten tackles for loss.
Losing Arnold for an extended period of time would be a crushing blow to the Lions' secondary. Detroit doesn't have high-level depth in the cornerback room, so one of the starters being out wouldn't be ideal.
We'll see if the team provides an update on Arnold's status soon, as the 22-year-old defensive back's Tuesday practice was cut short due to a hamstring injury.
