Terrion Arnold arrest details
Arnold's arrest comes four months after a Florida judge implicated him in a plot to carry out "vigilante justice" on three people he suspected of robbing an Airbnb in Florida where he and his friends have been staying.
Arnold was not initially charged with a crime. Hillsborough County Circuit Court Judge J. Logan Murphy claimed that Arnold's friend, Boakai Hilton, was the mastermind behind the scheme. Murphy granted Florida's motion for Hilton's pretrial detention after he was handed three charges of kidnapping to harm or terrorize and three charges of robbery with a firearm. Each charge is a first-degree felony punishable by life in prison under Florida law, per NBC News.
In a statement to TMZ, Arnold's lawyer denied any wrongdoing. The Detroit News reported that Arnold filed a police report after the residence he rented, located in Largo, Florida, was reportedly robbed twice. Among the items taken from Arnold and his friends were $100,000 in cash, an $80,000 necklace, designer bags and a cell phone issued to Arnold by the NFL, per NBC News.
