A woman in Brazil is lucky to be alive after a speeding pick-up truck plowed into the back of a parked car she was walking past — miraculously missing her by just inches, terrifying video shows.
The unidentified woman was walking in downtown Braço do Norte, Santa Catarina, when a speeding, out-of-control Chevrolet slammed into a white, stationary Honda SUV, causing a violent collision that sent the truck flipping through the air, according to footage obtained to by local news outlet Hora Certa Noticias.
Incredibly, the pedestrian walked away without any injuries from the unbelievably close-call, and no one else was injured, according to reports.
The unsuspecting woman strolls past a white SUV — unaware of the near-miss she just experienced involving a speeding flipping truck.The woman, according to the video, appeared completely oblivious as the pick-up truck closed in on her from behind at top speed.
After the collision, she could be seen flinching and seemed absolutely shocked as the truck landed on its roof and bounced, and after realizing what just happened, she took off running toward the sidewalk.
A second woman who is seen walking down the sidewalk also reportedly managed to step out of the SUV’s way and escaped unscathed, the video showed.
The lady flinches when she realizes what is happening. After the crash, employees from nearby stores came to the woman’s aid, and one of them, Erica Figueiredo, said she could “barely speak” because of the nervousness, according to Daily Mail.
The driver, who appears to be in the military police and was wearing his company uniform, said he was in a hurry because he was on his way to a trade fair to represent the company, according to local reports and Brazilian military police.
He showed no signs of intoxication, accoridng to reports.
