Teen shot to death inside NYC public housing complex

A teenager was shot dead inside a public housing complex in Brooklyn on Monday evening, according to police.

Cops responded to the shooting around 6 p.m. inside a NYCHA building on Avenue X between Nostrand Avenue and Batchelder Street in Sheepshead Bay, according to the NYPD.

Arriving officers discovered a 16-year-old boy unconscious with a gunshot wound to his chest inside the Sheepshead Bay Houses building, cops said.

The teen, who has not yet been identified, was brought to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities added.

No suspects have been arrested as of late Monday night, and the investigation remains ongoing.
