Teen ‘No Kings’ rioter caught on camera hurling object at officers before arrest for assault with a deadly weapon

Shocking footage captured chaotic scenes following violent “No Kings” protests in downtown Los Angeles when a teen rioter brazenly hurled an object at cops and struck one in the head before being taken down by cops.

Newly released video from the Los Angeles Police Department showed the actions of an unidentified 17-year-old agitator on the night of March 28, the same day violent protests erupted for the anti-Trump demonstration.

While officers were attempting to arrest an individual at the protest, the teen attacker tried to free the person by dragging him away from police before running off, the LAPD said.

Footage from cellphones and body cameras captured the teen fleeing police before throwing an object at them, striking one in the helmet.

In the video, the suspect can be heard yelling “f—k y’all” and “you stupid pig” at officers.

Multiple officers then attempted to take the teen into custody as he resisted arrest. He was eventually handcuffed and taken into custody.

Following the arrest, the suspect complained of pain in his leg. Police said that emergency personnel could reach him due to due to massive crowd control issues, so he was taken to a local hospital by officers for treatment.

Because the injury required hospitalization, the incident is defined a “use of force” and requires investigation.

LAPD Media Relations Officer Mike Bland said officers used several actions to detain the teen, including a “takedown, body weight, and a baton strike to ultimately take the subject into custody.”

The suspect, from Perris in Riverside County, was later cited for assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer and released to his parent, the LAPD noted.

The case is currently under investigation and will be for the next several months as the LAPD gathers more evidence in the incident and interviews any witnesses.

Following the investigation, the LAPD said the matter will be sent on to the Chief of Police and the Board of Police Commissioners made up of civilians to determine both if the officers tactics and use of force was warranted in the incident. 

It also has yet to be presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office for filing consideration.
