Music producer Garret “Jacknife” Lee and his wife, Melissa Garner Lee, didn’t attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding after he deleted the invitation.
Melissa wrote a new piece for the Huffington Post where she explained she was “furious” with her husband, who thought the invite was “spam.”
“Yeah — remember I told you I got a text from her manager? But I didn’t respond to it,” Garret, 59, told Melissa. “It didn’t sound like him.”
Garret — who worked with Swift on her song “The Last Time” from her 2012 album “Red” — insisted he “thought someone was trying to hack my address book,” which further infuriated his wife.
“Reeling in frustration, I left the room,” Melissa, who is a psychotherapist, recalled. “My jaw was clenched tight, so I purposefully took a deep breath and let it out slowly.”
Melissa said when she returned to the room, Garret asked her why’d she “even want to go” to the star-studded July 3 wedding in New York City.
“I wanted to go because it would give me a bit of hope,” Melissa remembered telling Garret. “Hope for love! Hope for some good in the world! I don’t know… maybe hope in America at a dark time?”

Melissa also said she “would have loved to hear the musical guests,” including Stevie Nicks.
When Garret tried to apologize by noting how “hot” it was at the wedding, Melissa said she felt herself “starting to lose my mind again.”
“We were invited to the wedding of the decade and we didn’t go because it might be too hot?” she wrote. “We didn’t even RSVP ‘no.’ How rude is that? (Sorry Taylor and Travis!).”
Melissa — who admitted her marriage “has never been perfect” — said she forgave Garret after he brought home her favorite dinner, hugged and kissed her and apologized again.
Once she “cooled down,” Melissa realized the couple have “much bigger things to worry about than Taylor Swift’s wedding.”
“A missed wedding will not be what breaks us. We’re stronger than that,” she wrote. “Still, it would’ve been fun to see her dress.”
Swift and Kelce, both 36, got married in front of 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden last Friday.
Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Nelly, Ethan Hawke, Ed Sheeran, Zoë Kravitz, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis and more A-listers were in attendance.
Swift’s longtime publicist, Tree Paine, confirmed to Page Six the “Opalite” singer walked down the aisle in a Christian Dior haute couture gown and Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony.
The wedding allegedly cost $30 million.
