Taylor Frankie Paul’s co-parenting drama heats up as Dakota Mortensen calls cops over protective order

Taylor Frankie Paul’s ex Dakota Mortensen called the Bluffdale Police Department in Utah to clarify the details of a protective order amid their custody battle.

The police department confirmed the phone call to Us Weekly on Monday, sharing that they spoke with the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star regarding his and Paul’s son, Ever, 2.

Mortensen, 33, inquired about who is allowed to help with the pick-ups and drop-offs of Ever. The TikToker also wanted to know if the protective order was violated.

Authorities then called Paul, 32 to collect her statement before passing the case along to the District Attorney’s office.

It is up to the DA’s office to decide whether or not a violation occurred. However, there is currently no active case open against either party.

Page Six reached out to reps for Paul and Mortensen as well as the Bluffdale Police Department and District Attorney’s office.

After the incident, the influencer called out her ex in a scathing Instagram Story.

“Cops called on me again THIS WEEK … What are the odds?” Paul wrote in a since-deleted post, per TMZ. “And it’s not people … it’s ONE person, the same person. It’s obsessive.”

The pair have also been the subjects of several police investigations in the years since first getting together in 2022.

In March, Mortensen was granted sole custody of Ever after he claimed Paul was physically violent toward him.

A month later, in April, the social media star — who shares daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 6, with her ex-husband, Tate Paul — was granted supervised visits with her toddler.

However, the judge voiced his concern regarding Paul’s “volatility,” and she was given only six hours of visitation per week until their next court date later that month.

When the former flames returned to court on April 30, they were ordered to remain 100 feet away from each other, per their mutual protective orders.

“You guys have to figure out a lot here. You have to figure out how to function as coparents,” the judge said during Paul and Mortensen’s appearance.

At the time, the “Unwell Winter Games” star spoke out about his legal battle, stating that his “focus” is now on Ever “and creating a stable, healthy environment for him moving forward.”

Earlier this month, the mom of three responded to a fan who wrote, “I’m going through your exact situation I wish I could talk more on it! I’m so stuck.”

“I don’t know what to say anymore other than I’m right there with a lot of you,” Paul wrote back in an Instagram Story. “Wish I could be more helpful. Not sure when the nervous system switched… I can’t even cry lately which is very unlike me.”

She added, “There is emotional overwhelm or numbness, both are coping mechanisms.”
