With around 42km to go, Tim Wellens made an aggressive move and pulled away from a small group of race leaders.

The gap only grew from there, and it was insurmountable for the chase group behind.

Tim Wellens was one of two Belgian riders to podium on Sunday during Stage 15.

33-year-old Victor Campenaerts of Team Visma was the other Belgian to podium, taking second place on the day.

Wout van Aert had an impressive day himself, taking fourth place and coming in with the chase group.

Tadej Pogačar and Jonas Vingegaard both finished at the same time, so no time was made up or lost between the two riders on Sunday.

A few minutes were added to the lead of Team Visma over Team UAE on Sunday, after a great day for their riders.

Monday, July 21, will be an off day for the riders, as action resumes with Stage 16 beginning on Tuesday, in Montpellier, with just six stages remaining.
