She’s back and better than ever.
Sydney Sweeney is turning heads with her brief appearance as Cassie in the newly released trailer for Season 3 of “Euphoria,” which will reportedly involve a time jump taking place “a few years after high school.”
The “Christy” star, 28, joined the HBO hit during its debut season back in 2019, and she is back alongside Zendaya (Rue), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Maude Apatow (Lexi) and Hunter Schafer (Jules) when the highly-anticipated and long-delayed third season premieres on April 12.
The new trailer features Sweeney’s character dressed as a dog in a brown corset – with a tail, ears and all. She wags her doggy tail while straddling a doghouse before turning around and giving a cute smile to the camera.
Another scene from the Season 3 sneak peek shows Sweeney’s Cassie filming more content while spread out on a bed on all fours with a chew toy in her mouth – until her soon-to-be husband, Nate, walks in and interrupts her.
“I work all day, and my bride-to-be is spread-eagled on the internet,” Elordi’s character laments during a voiceover.
“I was just making content,” Cassie, who appears to be an OnlyFans-style creator this season, responds.
A brief preview of Cassie and Nate celebrating what appears to be their wedding is also included in the new trailer. The couple smiles for a camera while seated at a long table decked out in an orange-and-pink floral arrangement.
“A group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil,” reads the Season 3 logline released by HBO ahead of the show’s return later this year.
The “Anyone But You” star previously opened up about her return for “Euphoria” Season 3 and what fans can expect from Cassie this time around during Variety’s Power of Women event in Los Angeles back in October.
“Hold on to those dildos,” Sweeney joked to E! News at the time. “It’s Cassie, what do you expect?”
The “Housemaid” actress went on to suggest that Season 3 will be her last time starring as Cassie.
“This is actually my last week filming. It’s going to be super bittersweet,” Sweeney shared. “I grew up with all these people.”
“I filmed the pilot when I was 20 and Season 1 when I was 21, so it’s definitely a crazy experience having a character with you for so long,” she continued. “I get the privilege of working with a lot of the same crew and the cast for such a long amount of time, and that usually doesn’t happen.”
Series creator Sam Levinson, meanwhile, opened up about the upcoming season and his decision to include a time jump during an HBO event last month.
“The one thing we all agreed on is we can’t go back to high school – although many, many shows have had 30-year-old high school students, we’re not,” Levinson said, per The Hollywood Reporter.
“Five years felt like a natural place, because if they had gone to college, they’d be out of college at that time,” he added.
Levinson went on to call Season 3 the “best season yet.”
