Reports have now indicated that Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks is pondering what his future could look like. While reports have stated that for much of the past decade, Antetokounmpo hasn't said he wants out yet, perhaps the Bucks' current situation could be something to monitor.
If the Bucks move on from Antetokounmpo, the best player in franchise history and one of the greatest players in NBA history, there will be 29 teams interested.
According to Ian Begley of SNY, even the New York Knicks could be in the mix.
"After trading for Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges and re-signing OG Anunoby, the Knicks - on paper - don’t look like a team that could trade for Antetokounmpo. But league sources familiar with the dynamic say it would be foolish to count the Knicks out because of their roster construction, according to SNY’s Ian Begley.
"If the 2024-25 season had gone poorly, the Knicks would have had strong interest in dealing for Antetokounmpo, Begley notes. The Knick focus at the moment is far from Antetokounmpo; they host Boston in Game 4 of their second-round playoff series and hold a 2-1 series lead," he wrote.

The Knicks trading with the Bucks for Antetokounmpo seems unlikely, given their limited assets. The Bucks have no reason to send him to the Knicks for Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, or whatever else they want to offer.
None of them are young enough to justify trading Antetokounmpo for. The Knicks also don't have seven-plus first-round picks to move.
Never say never, however, as there could be a scenario where Antetokounmpo asks to be traded to the Knicks and the Bucks grant his wish.
