Executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, Andrew Kolvet, has recently shared insights from the surgeon who treated Kirk's gunshot wounds. According to a tweet shared by the former on September 21, Charlie Kirk saved a lot of lives as the bullet didn't leave his body to injure more people.
For the unversed, Charlie Kirk was assassinated on September 10 while presiding over an event at Utah Valley University. The Turning Point USA founder was shot in the neck while addressing a crowd of 3000. As per a report by The Sun, a single gunshot was fired at 12:10 pm (local time). It tore through his carotid artery, sending him hurtling from his chair with blood spurting out of his neck.
In a recent tweet, Andrew Kolvet explained how Charlie Kirk allegedly saved multiple lives due to his superior bone health. Referring to the lack of an exit wound for the bullet that hit Kirk, he recounted what Kirk's surgeon had to say.
"I just spoke with the surgeon who worked on Charlie in the hospital…He said the bullet “absolutely should have gone through, which is very very normal for a high powered, high velocity round. I’ve seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc.”However, the bullet didn't go through his body, which prevented it from mortally harming others who were "directly behind" the conservative commentator. Kolvet said that the surgeon claimed it was an "absolute miracle," continuing:
“His bone was so healthy and the density was so so impressive that he’s like the man of steel. It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too.”He ended the tweet by claiming that Kirk saved the lives of those around him "even in death."
Charlie Kirk's wife shares message for his killer during memorial service

Charlie Kirk's wife, Erika, had a message for his murderer during her speech at his memorial service. While addressing the crowd at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale on September 21, a teary-eyed Erika Kirk said:
"That man, that young man … I forgive him."The crowd erupted with applause as the mother of two continued:
"I forgive him because it was what Christ did and is what Charlie would do. The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know from the gospel is love and always love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us."She went on to explain how she felt after seeing Kirk following the assassination.
"I saw the wound that ended his life … I felt shock, I felt horror and a level of heartache that I didn't even know existed. But even in death, I could see the man that I loved. I saw the single gray hair on the side of his head, which I never told him about. I also saw in his lips the faintest smile. It revealed to me a great mercy from God in this tragedy. When I saw that, it told me Charlie didn't suffer," recounted Erika Kirk. Finally, she spoke about the importance of faith and how her husband's death allegedly brought about a "revival" instead of violence, riots, or a revolution.
"Pray again, read the Bible again, go to church next Sunday, and the Sunday after that and break free from the temptations and shackles of this world," Kirk said.As per NPR, Erika Kirk was named CEO of Turning Point USA last week. It is a non-profit organization founded by her husband and Bill Montgomery in 2012.
