The Supreme Court on Monday declined to take up President Trump’s appeal of the $5 million sexual abuse and defamation verdict against him in the first E. Jean Carroll case.
Now Trump will have no choice but to pony up the $5 million to the former advice columnist.

Paul MartinkaIn a separate case, a Manhattan federal court jury found Trump liable for defaming Carroll and awarded her $83.3 million, which is currently being appealed in the lower courts.
Trump had denied Carroll’s accusations that he sexually assaulted her in the mid-1990s.
