The Phoenix Suns got rid of a third of their big three when they traded Kevin Durant to the Rockets on Sunday.
Another third is expected to be gone sooner rather than later.
Local reporter John Gambadoro, who was on top of all the KD reporting in recent weeks, shared with NBA insider Kevin O'Connor that Beal won't play another game in Phoenix. He'll either be traded or bought out.

— Kevin O'Connor (@KevinOConnorNBA) June 22, 2025Beal was by far the worst acquisition of this entire Suns era.
He's probably most to blame for the reason this Phoenix team never got off the ground.

It seems unlikely any team out there really wants to pay Beal the $110 million remaining on his deal.
Beal still averaged 17.0 points per game this past season, but it was empty scoring without much overall production around it.
He fits best at this point as a bucket getter for a mediocre team.
It'll be interesting to see if the Suns can get anything at all in return for him.
