Paige DeSorbo Leaving 'Summer House' After 7 Seasons
Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are definitely feeling some summertime sadness.
Two weeks after their longtime Summer House costar Paige DeSorbo announced she's leaving the Bravo reality series ahead of season 10, the couple revealed their heartbreaking reactions to Paige's exit.
"So sad not to have her in the house during summer," Amanda exclusively told E! correspondent Zuri Hall June 17 at a private Cannes Lions dinner in France for NBCUniversal highlighting their best in class content and storytelling. "It's like when your best friend moves from your hometown and doesn't go to your school anymore. It's weird, but I wasn't surprised by it. I think we all sort of saw it coming."
Well, not everyone.
As Kyle chimed in, "I knew eventually the time would come, but it still surprised me and I was sad. It didn't really hit me until I posted about it and I clocked 'post' and I started crying. I'm like, 'Oh my god.'"
And the Loverboy founder isn't exaggerating about his tear-filled response to the cast shakeup.
"This man sobbed," Amanda, 33, noted of her husband. "He was crying uncontrollably on the couch. He had tears running down his face, he couldn't stop crying. I was like, 'You are fine.'"
Kyle admitted he got "worked up" over Paige's decision, especially reflecting on their past seven summers together in the Hamptons.
"It's been a wild ride," the 42-year-old noted. "It's been amazing having her be a part of it. But I'm happy for her now.

Now, Amanda is just happy to see the Giggly Squad podcast cohost's career outside of the show really taking off.
"It's amazing to watch her grow and succeed," she gushed. "These summers, they can be a lot sometimes and she has her book, she has her podcast, her tour, her new line that she came out with. She's doing so many things. So, the girl, she needs to nap."
Plus, the attention surrounding Paige's November split from boyfriend of three years, Southern Charm's Craig Conover, was a lot for Paige to weather in the spotlight.
As Kyle added, "And a big, public breakup will probably wear you down. I appreciate and respect the last couple months."
But worry not, Bravoholics, because Amanda noted, "It's not the last we'll see of her."
