Studded thongs, caged corsets and jockstraps: Irina Shayk’s V cover shoot is her wildest yet

Two decades into her modeling career, Irina Shayk has done it all — from bleached brows to bleached hair.

And yet, the Russian beauty’s new V magazine shoot might be her wildest fashion moment yet.

In the cover shot, which was lensed by close friend and legendary photographer Steven Klein, Shayk — who turned 40 earlier this month — looks killer in an Alaïa perforated vinyl top and matching fluted skirt and C.Ford leather gloves laced up to her armpits.

“For me, [this story] represents a kind of wild femininity,” Shayk said. “Creating this woman with Steven opened so many visual windows. It felt like stepping into another world.” Courtesy of V Magazine

She gazes at the camera, face obscured by a d’Alba white truffle sheet mask.

“There are no lines anymore. No more boxes of [being just a] ‘model’ or ‘only this.’ If something brings me joy, if I feel love for it, and if I have a creative partner beside me who inspires me, then I want to explore it,” Shayk told the magazine of her recent milestone birthday.

“For me, [this story] represents a kind of wild femininity,” she added. “Creating this woman with Steven opened so many visual windows. It felt like stepping into another world.”

The world includes Shayk straddling a motorcycle in a studded leather Zana Bayne choker necklace, bra, thong and corset, swinging in a Gryphyn rubber padded muscle top and rubber striated pencil skirt and posing with one of Klein’s signature black horses in nothing but an apron and Fleur du Mal G-string.

“The funny part is I can’t even ride a bike, and horses still intimidate me,” she joked in the interview. “My daughter rides [horses] and always tries to convince me to join her. Yet, I’ve always dreamed of standing beside one of Steven’s horses, capturing that iconic image.”

The skincare mask isn’t the only one Shayk sports; in one shot, Irina poses in a long leather coat and drop-crotch trousers by Maison Margiela paired with Paula Rowan gloves and a black leather mask by Wendy Drolma.

There’s also a molded latex corset by Vex, “landing strip” pants by Mowalola and a Jean Paul Gaultier leather cape — oh my!

And Shayk bares her bum on a bike in a CDLP jockstrap and oversized leather Francesco Murano blouson and takes a dunk in the tub in a Ferragamo dress.

If this is an indication of how Irina is ringing in 2026, we’re sure this will be her most daring decade yet.
