Steve Sarkisian was questioned about who his message was for during Wednesday's SEC Coaches Teleconference. The Texas Longhorns coach kicked things off by addressing the rumors that he is going to part ways with the program.

According to CFB insider CJ Vogel, Sarkisian took a dig at former NFL star turned analyst Desmond Howard with his latest comment. On Monday, he said that the Longhorns might mutually part ways with their coach after the end of the 2025 season.

"It was for everybody," Sarkisian said as per Vogel's tweet. "It might have just been for me, I don't know. The Thing about yesterday was this- at the end of the day, I have a locker room full of players who give me everything they have at the end of the day.

"The last thing I want is for them to feel as though what people are saying about me, outside of our building, is serving as a distraction for them, and or their families. But also, I wanted to say that for Longhorn Nation. Because I don't want them or anybody here to feel like, 'Boy, Sark is window shopping or maybe he is trying to go.' I'm not going anywhere. "And it is also for some of our opponents that I am not going anywhere, stay out of our locker room. And maybe for some of the pundits out there that don't cover me and cover our program on a regular basis. So that they understand they can't just take their trash out and have a thought to think, 'Hey, I think Texas is going to have a job opening.' I don't know. Think about something else when you are taking your trash out."

Steve Sarkisian was likely referring to Desmond Howard's clip where he talked about his future with Texas while "taking out the garbage" from his home.

Last Saturday, Steve Sarkisian and his team suffered a 35-10 loss at the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs. They are now 7-3 (4-2 SEC) and are ranked No.17 in this week's AP Top 25.
