Stephen Curry is confident he will be playing for the Warriors until he retires

Since 2009, Stephen Curry has been the star player for the Golden State Warriors. He has been the franchise's most successful superstar, as he has been the driving force for all four of their championships from 2015 to 2022. It is a legendary tenure for any player, but especially because Curry continues to be excellent through the years.

Of course, Draymond Green has been with him since 2012, as they are the duo that continues to play for the Warriors. Despite Green's presence, everyone can agree that Curry is the foundational piece. Now, he is in the twilight years of his career, and it seems he will continue to play for the Warriors until the very end.

Stephen Curry wants to end his career with the Warriors

Since Curry's career is winding down, there are a lot of people who want him to make a move for a last-gasp opportunity to win a championship. Adding one more championship to his four rings would likely cement his status as the best point guard of all time.

However, it seems Curry wants to stick with the Warriors and fight with whatever the front office decides. That is a bit unfortunate because the Warriors are quite far away from a championship when compared to the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs.

Curry wants to win, but he also wants to remain committed to the Warriors. He has a special connection with the Bay Area, and he wants to end his career while only playing for one team. There have been plenty of players who have done that, but only a few can match what Curry has done for his team.

"There’s no question I want to be here the rest of my career, and I’m pretty sure that’s going to happen. The deal and the contract stuff will happen at the right time, and we’re not letting it be a distraction from our preparation for the season," Curry said to NBC Sports Bay Area's Dalton Johnson about his contract with the Warriors.

"The fact that the team we’re coming back with has a lot of familiarity. Hopefully we can be healthy and just have a chance to show what we’re capable of, myself included, missing so many games last year."

It is quite challenging for the Warriors to balance satisfying Curry and building a team that can win. They have done so multiple times, but this time around, it feels like they are struggling to properly build a squad outside of Curry, Green, and Butler. Despite those issues, it seems Curry wants to stick around and see how they can do it.
