Steph Curry and Ayesha Curry's Relationship Secret Is a Slam Dunk
Steph Curry and Ayesha Curry never miss when it comes to keeping their relationship rock solid.
After all, the Golden State Warriors point guard and the Sweet July founder, who’ve been married for 14 years and counting, have found a way to tackle any challenges that may arise.
Top of the list is “accepting the hard things in life,” Steph told E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the GOAT premiere Feb. 6. “We always try to pride ourselves together on, ‘When life throws something at you, make sure that it brings you together every step of the way and not tear you apart.’”
“It’s easier said than done, but it’s a foundation,” he explained. “We talk about it openly a lot, and also acknowledging when things get crazy, it’s okay. [We] try to give ourselves some grace, too.”
The couple—who share kids Riley, 13, Ryan, 10, Canon, 7, and Caius, 21 months together—began dating in 2008 before tying the knot in 2011. And after nearly two decades together, Steph—who is a producer on the GOAT film out Feb. 13—still thinks of Ayesha as his “greatest of all time.”
In fact, the four-time NBA champ is in awe of his wife’s “sacrifice,” as well as her talent and motherhood journey. As he put it, “Watching her be there for our four kids, but then outside understanding how motivated and inspiring she is.”
“She’s like a visionary, it’s kind of crazy,” he added. “Pretty much all of the great ideas that come out of our family come from her.”

And the love goes both ways for Ayesha.
“He’s my ‘GOAT,’” she said. “His work ethic is unmatched and he’s a wonderful father, a great husband. And so, just the day in and day out—getting to see the way that he moves—is very inspirational.”

Equality Matters
Back in August 2018, Stephen penned an essay about gender equality.
"I want our girls to grow up knowing that there are no boundaries that can be placed on their futures, period," he wrote for The Player's Tribune. "I want them to grow up in a world where their gender does not feel like a rulebook for what they should think, or be, or do. And I want them to grow up believing that they can dream big, and strive for careers where they'll be treated fairly. And of course: paid equally."
