Stefon Diggs’ former girlfriend, Aileen Lopera, has moved to dismiss the paternity and child support lawsuit she previously filed against the New England Patriots wide receiver, bringing a sudden pause to a case that has been unfolding for more than a year.
According to court filings obtained by Complex, Lopera submitted a motion requesting that the case be dismissed without prejudice. That distinction leaves the door open for the matter to be revisited in the future, but for now, the legal action is effectively closed.

Lopera first filed the lawsuit in December 2024, alleging that Diggs was the father of her then-unborn daughter, Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera. The filing sought sole legal and physical custody, along with child support and coverage of pregnancy-related expenses, while allowing Diggs visitation rights.
Diggs formally responded to the lawsuit in July 2025, stating he was uncertain about paternity and requesting genetic testing. In his response, he indicated that if testing confirmed he was the father, he would pursue joint custody and shared responsibility for pregnancy and birth-related costs, as well as attorney’s fees.
In November, Lopera’s attorney, Tamar G. Arminak, publicly stated that a paternity test had confirmed Diggs was the child’s father. “The paternity has been confirmed, Mr. Diggs is the father of the child,” Arminak said at the time, adding that her client hoped the two could work toward co-parenting.

This week, Arminak offered a brief update on the case’s status, saying, “The matter has been resolved.” No additional details were provided regarding what led to the dismissal or whether any private agreements were reached between the two parties.
The legal development comes during a busy stretch in Diggs’ personal life. Not long after public statements about the paternity test surfaced, Diggs welcomed his first child with rapper Cardi B. Speaking recently, Diggs praised her support as he balances football and family life.
