Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers' decline perfectly illustrated in ESPN's annual rankings

The results are in for ESPN's annual quarterback rankings that are based on the opinions of coaches, executives and scouts around the league.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, from No. 1 to No. 10, is as follows: Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels, Matthew Stafford, Justin Herbert, Jared Goff, Jalen Hurts and Baker Mayfield.

Definitely a few surprises on that list, like Goff being ranked over Hurts fresh off a Super Bowl victory, and Mayfield making the cut for the top 10 and Daniels getting top-five love after just one season in the NFL.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans are probably wondering where Aaron Rodgers ended up. Well, he didn't even make the honorable mention spots. Rodgers was among those who received votes to be in the top 10, so there's that.

That is far from a surprising result.

After all, Rodgers is coming off two down campaigns with the New York Jets, one of which saw him tear his Achilles. Rodgers returned from the injury in 2024 but didn't start to look more like himself until late in the season.

Entering 2025, there are rightly doubts about how much Rodgers has left in the tank, seeing as how he's turning 42 in December. This list perfectly illustrates that, as Rodgers used to be a staple in the top 10.

We'll see if Rodgers can turn things around in his first season in Pittsburgh, but even if he does, we may not know how much that impacts his rankings after Rodgers revealed he may retire after 2025.
