The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a much-needed win over the Indianapolis Colts, and that win really keeps this team alive. It's early to be talking about the playoffs, but really, it's never too early to start figuring out how many wins need to happen to avoid being one of the unfortunate teams that doesn't even stand a chance.
Now, Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy and the team are 3-2 heading into their Week 6 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs are coming off their first win of the season. It's crazy that it took this long, but that's the case. So, considering the Buccaneers are 1-4, does that give the Steelers an advantage?
Pete Prisco predicts a loss for the Steelers
CBS Sports' Pete Prisco has unleashed his official projections for the Week 6 NFL games, and it's not good news for the Steelers.
Prisco has the Steelers losing to the Buccaneers with a 26-21 final score. He thinks the defense for the Bucs will get to Rodgers, and that's no good for the MVP-winning quarterback or McCarthy.
"Both of these teams righted the ship a bit with victories last week. The Bucs badly needed it after losing their first four," he notes in the piece. "Tampa Bay ran it with Bucky Irving to beat the Cowboys and I think they can do that here as well."
Here's where he notes that the Buccaneers' defense is stronger now, stating, "The defense played better in that game and will limit Aaron Rodgers somewhat. Bucs win it."
Now, this is just one analyst's opinion, and Rodgers has been playing strong football. So, don't put it past Rodgers to stand up to the Bucs' seemingly newly strengthened defense and pull off a victory for the Terrible Towel fans.
