Steelers' hopes for a Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers just took a hit

The Pittsburgh Steelers are back with Aaron Rodgers, and they also have a new head coach in Mike McCarthy. That's all fine and dandy, especially since Rodgers is still performing some of his best football. But, if you're booking a flight to the Super Bowl to see the Steelers next year, hold your horses.

Rodgers is still performing in elite territory. Last season, he wrapped up the season with 3,322 passing yards and 24 touchdowns to seven interceptions in 16 games.

But Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report doesn't see Rodgers and the Steelers going all the way, and he thinks the team's fanbase gets that, too. He has a feature out on Wednesday ranking each of the NFL teams on a "panic meter" going into the new season and puts the Steelers at a high panic rating.

Steelers' panic meter is at 9/10

The Steelers have a panic meter at 9/10. Ouch. What's tough is that he also says he doesn't think Rodgers and the team will have the juice to go all the way.

"This is realistically their last kick at the can in the Aaron Rodgers era, but it's not a full-blown panic because I think a lot of fans realize they have a sub-Super Bowl ceiling barring a miracle from the 42-year-old quarterback," he says.

At least they're not the Bengals or Ravens, because he has both those teams' panic meters at 10/10. "If this team wastes a fourth consecutive season with Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase, the Zac Taylor era likely ends and a major overhaul follows," he says of the Bengals.
