Steelers have perfect QB fit for option to turn down Aaron Rodgers

If the Pittsburgh Steelers want to end the Aaron Rodgers free agency drama, they probably aren't alone.

And if they look hard enough, they might find an intriguing solution.

Bleacher Report wants the Steelers to explore a deal for Will Levis from the Tennessee Titans, and it wouldn't cost much.

All Pittsburgh would have to do in the proposed trade is give up a fourth-rounder this year for a fifth-rounder this year to come back with Levis.

"Levis' skill set could mesh with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, who found success with dual-threat quarterback Justin Fields early last season," B/R writes. "Levis isn't nearly as dynamic of a runner as Fields is, but he can scramble well enough to keep defenses honest. His arm strength would also allow Pittsburgh to stretch the field with receivers George Pickens and DK Metcalf."

Maybe the most intriguing part here is that Levis would all of a sudden have his best pass catching corps of his career.

Pickens, Metcalf and Pat Freiermuth, along with running back Jaylen Warren, makes for a great receiving group.

Levis was the No. 33 overall pick in 2023 out of Kentucky.  He has started 21 games for the Titans, over which he has a 5-16 record.

Levis has thrown 21 touchdowns compared to 16 interceptions.

He's not a surefire starter, but he could at least compete with Mason Rudolph for the job if Pittsburgh got unlucky and didn't get anyone else.

And maybe there's still just a little bit of upside waiting to be unlocked from Levis.
