The premier also warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin was benefiting from the conflict as the price of oil spiked and Trump lifted sanctions on Russian energy. “It’s vital we continue to focus on supporting Ukraine. We cannot allow the war in the Gulf to turn into a windfall for Putin,” Starmer said.
