Gurang-Gurang Macham might be the tallest kicker in high school football.
Standing at 6-foot-9 and 200 pounds, Macham is the kicker for St. Bernard High School in Playa del Rey, California.

For reference, the tallest kicker in NFL history is Neil O’Donoghue who stood at 6-foot-6. O’Donoghue played nine seasons in the NFL in the 1970s and 80s, spending time with the Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the then-St. Louis Cardinals.
In 1979, O’Donoghue’s field goal helped the Buccaneers clinch their first divisional title with a 3-0 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Macham would be a whole three inches taller than O’Donoghue if he were to join the NFL as a kicker, which would make football history.
Originally from Sudan, the senior plays basketball but decided to expand his horizons to the football field this season. Thus far, Macham is 11-for-19 (.579) in four games played.
His Vikings have begun the season 4-0 with victories over Los Amigos, Westchester, Wilson and Beverly Hills.
St. Bernard’s next matchup will be an away game at Bosco Tech, which marks their first league showdown of the season.
