Nia Jax and Lash Legend faced WWE Women's Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors
Nia Jax and Lash Legend faced the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, the Kabuki Warriors, tonight in the taping for the December 26 edition of SmackDown.
Ever since they teamed up, Jax and Legend have made it their mission to win every tag team title. However, that was not really made too easy by the fact that every other women's tag team has also staked their claims for the titles as well.
Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY have shown their willingness to go after the titles, as have Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, and Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. However, the Kabuki Warriors ended up facing Nia Jax and Lash Legend on the December 26 edition of SmackDown.
There, Jax and Legend defeated the Kabuki Warriors. The shock result means that Jax and Legend have now beaten the current tag team champions. However, it was not for the title.
Even though they have not yet won the titles, they will be in line for a shot at them next.
WWE is currently going through tapings
The company is taping extra shows right now, as it seems that they are preparing for the time when they will not be live.
Next week's episodes of RAW and SmackDown will not feature any live competition, but taped shows will air. The December 26 episode of SmackDown is being taped tonight, while the December 22 episode of RAW will be taped for the upcoming episode of SmackDown.
