For just the second time in the country's history, Spain has earned a spot in the World Cup final. Along with the 2026 achievement, the win over France also tied Italy's 37-match unbeaten streak for the longest in soccer history.
The Spanish side has not lost an international match in regulation since March 26, 2024, when it was upset by Colombia in an international friendly. Spain's success, at the moment, looks like it's here to stay, with youngster Lamine Yamal serving as the catalyst.
Spain now has the chance to both win the 2026 World Cup and break Italy's unbeaten streak at the final whistle of Sunday's final.
Here's the rundown on how long it's been since La Roja has been on the losing side of a match.
