Indiana Fever's Sophie Cunningham expressed who her early favorite is to win next year's Super Bowl. Cunningham picked Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs, snubbing the Indiana Colts.

The Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in this year's Super Bowl last February.

"Chiefs," Cunningham answered when a fan asked who she thinks will win next year's big game.

While she chose Kansas to grab the next Super Bowl, Cunningham hopes that the injury bug stays away from the Colts in the NFL.

"I don't know what's going on in freaking Indie, but like it is the injury bug is high and heavy over there. So hopefully the Colts stay away. Hopefully it's just the basketball world," she said.

Both the Fever and the Indiana Pacers of the NBA have dealt with numerous injuries in the past months.

On the Pacers' side, they lost Tyrese Haliburton to a torn Achilles in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Meanwhile, the Fever had numerous injuries in their roster last season, including Caitlin Clark, Sydney Colson, Aari McDonald, and Cunningham, who is still recovering from her MCL injury.

Despite the injuries, the Fever went on to a Cinderella run in the 2025 WNBA playoffs, albeit losing to the eventual champions Las Vegas Aces, in the semifinals.

Sophie Cunningham picks the OKC Thunder to be this season's NBA champions

Sophie Cunningham also picked who she thinks will be the NBA champions after this season. According to Cunningham, she will be betting on the defending champions OKC Thunder, to go for their second straight title.

"OKC still has a bunch of young boys who are hungry for a back-to-back," she said. So, if I had to pick right now, I'd have to go Thunder. But I still think it's so early. I have no idea."

The Thunder brings the same championship core this season and is seen to be the favorite to win it all again. OKC defeated the Pacers in seven games in last season's NBA Finals.

Meanwhile, Cunningham is currently a free agent as she awaits the talks for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Cunningham averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game last season with the Fever.
