Sophie Cunningham has a new goal for the future, and it has nothing to do with a jump shot. The Indiana Fever guard said on her “No Hesitation” podcast that she would love to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel one day.
Cunningham brought up the idea while talking with co-host Drew Hanlen about the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She was enthusiastic about the event, praising the models and describing the show as a major spectacle. She also singled out longtime Angel Candice Swanepoel as a favorite and complimented Kylie Jenner’s appearance.
Then Cunningham offered a playful glimpse of her own ambition: she could picture herself on that runway someday, perhaps even alongside Hanlen’s wife, Christine Burke.
The comment was lighthearted, but it fits a Fever guard who has never been shy about showing fans her personality away from basketball. Cunningham’s public profile has grown through her podcast, brand partnerships and modeling work, including an appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Basketball still comes first
Cunningham is coming off her second season with Indiana, where she averaged 7.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in 43 games. She was a regular part of the rotation, usually coming off the bench, and helped the Fever finish 28-16 before they lost to the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the playoffs.
Her next basketball chapter is still unsettled. Cunningham’s one-year contract with Indiana has expired, making her an unrestricted free agent this offseason. She could return to the Fever, sign elsewhere or weigh her options as teams begin shaping their 2027 rosters.
That uncertainty makes her personal goal especially fun to consider. Cunningham has spoken about a possible runway future, but she has not announced a modeling contract or a move away from basketball. For now, it is an ambition she shared while discussing a fashion show she clearly enjoys.

The Fever guard keeps fans guessing
Cunningham’s mix of competitiveness and humor has helped make her one of the WNBA’s most recognizable personalities. She can be intense on the court, but she also gives fans plenty to follow when the season ends.
A Victoria’s Secret runway appearance would be a dramatic new setting for the Fever guard, and Cunningham sounds as if she would embrace the challenge. For now, though, her immediate future includes free agency and whatever comes next in basketball.
The runway dream is a reminder that Cunningham’s interests stretch well beyond the court. Whether that goal ever becomes reality, she has already made it clear she is comfortable being herself in front of an audience.
