RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley Files for Divorce From Husband PK Kemsley After Shana Wall Makeout
Sophia Bush might need a new tagline.
The One Tree Hill alum revealed that she received an invite to appear on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills—but hilariously missed her opportunity because she didn't see the text from pal Bozoma Saint John, who joined the Bravo show in 2024.
"Sophia would make a great housewife, right?" Bozoma shared during their conversation at the Create & Cultivate festival in Los Angeles, where E! News was present July 19. "It totally makes sense. I wrote her a text message in April—I'm telling all your business—I was like, 'Hey, I need to ask you a controversial question.'"
But according to Bozoma, Sophia "knew what I was gonna ask her" and "never responded until yesterday, when she was like, 'Oh, how did I miss this text message in April?'"
As for Sophia's reaction to the bombshell invite? She couldn't help but laugh about it all.
"First of all, I am a terrible texter," she quipped on stage, "so I go to text her and I'm like, 'Oh my god, I'm so excited I get to see you tomorrow. I can't wait.' And then I go, 'Controversial question? April?' And then I'm like, 'Wow, we really talk more in group chats.'"
The John Tucker Must Die actress finally responded: "I'm like, 'Girl, what's the controversial question? I love a controversial question.' She's like, 'I was trying to get you on the show.'"
And Bozoma still thinks Sophia—who has been dating Ashlyn Harris since 2023, when she divorced husband Grant Hughes—would be a perfect addition to the cast.
"We need more women who are self-possessed, who enjoy their relationships with other women, who understand conflict and drama," the former Netflix exec shared, "not because they want to put on a spectacle, but because that's just what life is, and are unafraid to talk about the hard stuff."

But the focus on drama is one reason why Sophia initially didn't understand Bozoma's interest in being a part of the Bravoverse, calling it a "move no one expected."
"I don't mean this to be judgy," Sophia confessed on the panel, taped for her Work in Progress podcast. "Genuinely, I was like, 'Isn't that the show where all the women yell at each other?' Boz is not a yeller. She is a cheerleader. She is a teammate. I don't think I get it. So, then I decided to tune in to watch you, and I was like, 'Oh, she's changing the vibe of a whole industry.'"
And while it doesn't sound like Sophia has any plans to take Bozoma up on the offer to join RHOBH, she recognizes that her friend of 10 years is "modeling a healthier way" of being a reality TV star.
"Isn't that what we're all trying to do all day anyway, get through the time that passes and like it?" she shared. "I just want to like my life."
